This 17,500 square foot tenant improvement included open office space with glass front private perimeter offices, a breakroom area, file/work room, a conference room, a gym, and a lounge. Due to manufacturing and procurement delays in our industry at the time, our team was diligent when selecting trade partners and proactive with long-lead materials. We were able to mitigate challenges and maintain an accelerated schedule. Working in an occupied building always comes with risk, but our safety program proved successful, and we ended the project with zero recordable incidents.

University of Nebraska Medical Center

JE Dunn completed the renovation of the UNMC College of Nursing auditorium. This project included interior renovation of the existing auditorium spaces to provide reconfigured seating, improved ADA access, new interior finishes and lighting, and new audio-visual systems. Working on an active campus, safety was at the forefront of everything we did. To create separation between the public and the construction site, we created a 1-hour temporary wall, detailed wayfinding, and a new sidewalk and stairs that led to a temporary exit.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Omaha

JE Dunn had the privilege of helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Omaha make improvements to their interior and exterior house to offer their families a more comfortable stay.

This project included the renovation of a 2,900 square foot mixed-use area that now offers a play area, gym, sleeping room, conference rooms and an infusion clinic. For the exterior, the team added a walking trail, playground equipment, percussion items and sitting areas. Both spaces offer the Ronald McDonald families added forms of comfort and normalcy for the duration of their stays.

Methodist Health System Corporate Office Building

JE Dunn completed the new corporate headquarters for Nebraska Methodist Health System. The 155,000 square foot building features three stories, a kitchen and café, and an 800-stall parking lot. Modular walls and furniture were incorporated to offer flexibility to accommodate the rapid change typically associated with how healthcare services are delivered.

Columbus Community Hospital

JE Dunn served as Construction Manager for a complex renovation and addition to Columbus Community Hospital. The project included 52,000 square feet of additions: five operating rooms, surgery suites, MRI space, dining area, cardiac rehab department, and conference rooms and 50,000 square feet of renovations: pharmacy, NUC MED, mammography, CT scan, labor/delivery wing with NICU, boardrooms, in-patient rehab, and more.

Due to the nature of working in and around a fully operational 24/7 hospital, we implemented a multi-phased plan to minimize disruption and department moves while adhering to a fast-paced schedule.

Husch Blackwell

JE Dunn completed a 15,791 square foot Class A tenant improvement for the law firm Husch Blackwell, located on the second floor of the Goldenrod building in Heartwood Preserve. The space includes private offices, conference rooms, a café/kitchen, and an advanced security system. Our team has extensive experience working with high-end finishes in Class A office space, and we leveraged this knowledge to ensure high quality didn’t impact budget or schedule. We utilized proactive preconstruction, early procurement packages, and BIM coordination to meet the quick seven-month schedule.
